Ī-Ako is officially underway for Terenga 2 e hoa mā. If you’re wanting to start or continue your reo Māori journey, our 6 week online course is for you. Our kaiako will take you through an interactive, fun and informative program with 4 levels available to suit your needs.

    Pronunciation: Learn basic level pronunciation, including names, place names, simple words, and blended vowel sounds.

    Introducing yourself: Learn how to introduce yourself and others.

    Greetings and farewells: Learn basic level greetings, farewells and how to address people.

    Basic questions: Learn how to ask and respond to basic level questions.

    Instructions: Learn how to give and understand basic level instructions.

    Basic Sentences: Learn how to use basic level sentences.

    Numbers and Time: Learn basic level counting, the days, and months.

    Numbers and Times: Learn how to use numbers in a sentence, the days and months, and how to tell the time.

    Active sentences: Learn how to use foundational level tense markers to talk about what’s happening.

    Descriptive sentences: Learn how to describe common objects and locations.

    Negations: Learn how to negate active sentences at a foundational level.

    Negations: Expand on negation of active sentences at an intermediate level.

    Statives: Learn how to structure stative sentences.

    Location sentences – learn how to ask and answer questions about location.
